My Morning Jacket yesterday announced the itinerary for a summer trek beginning August 11th in San Diego, California. MMJ will headline all shows on the tour except three Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers shows. After San Diego the band plays Los Angeles on the twelfth before a three day break. The timing of the break suggests the band will perform at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco on the fourteenth, though no official announcement has been made. Before setting off with My Morning Jacket, however, the band's frontman Jim James will join up with fellow Kentucky born musicians Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin under the name Appalachian Voices. Click Here for the dates.
