Nikki Sixx recently interviewed Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford on his radio show "Sixx Sense". The three musicians discussed the forthcoming Ozzfest, which will include Motley Crue, Rob Halford's solo band Halford and, of course, Ozzy as headliners.
Sixx commented: "When they called up and asked us, it wasn't even like we thought about it. 'Yes,' immediately. We kind of planned on taking the summer off. We've been out on tour for awhile and we just kind of wanted to be home and be off.....like you (talking to Ozzy) took some time off but this is an opportunity that I think only comes along once and we're gonna do it and we're really excited about doing it."
Halford went on to say. "This is something I'm really grateful to Ozz for to get the chance to put my solo band out for the first time in five years," he said. "But yeah, the Ozzfest is just every one is special. If you look at the history of the Ozzfest, every one has got special memories attached to it and I'm sure that that's what will happen with this one [in 2010] there'll be some magical mad moments."
