Iggy Pop and his punk band the Stooges were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Monday in a ceremony held in New York City. Also inducted were the Swedish pop group ABBA, Genesis, the Hollies, reggae star Jimmy Cliff, and several songwriters. Several members of ABBA and Peter Gabriel were not present at the ceremony, Gabriel because he is preparing for a tour.
