Looks like LaDainian Tomlinson is still a free man after meeting with Minnesota. Tomlinson is being considered by the Vikings to possibly fill the void after Chester Taylor signed with the Bears. Minnesota coach Brad Childress says Tomlinson's role would be a supporting one behind starter Adrian Peterson.
When asked if Tomlinson would be obtained in order to mentor Peterson, Childress said, "That's not in the equation......We're kind of measuring him more as a football player and as a person, as a man, as a competitor -- and how much he has left to be able to contribute to this team."
Now it appears that the former star running back will be heading to New York, on Friday, to speak with the Jets.
