50 artists from Latin American nations gathered together Friday to record "Somos el Mundo", a spanish version of "We Are the World". Among the acts with solo lines on the single are Gloria Estefan, Thalia, Jose Feliciano, Chayanne, and many more(see complete list below). Quincy Jones is co-producing the track, along with Emilio Estefan, Gloria's husband. All proceeds from the single, just like those from the English version, will go to the We Are the World foundation which benefits Haiti.
