Stone Temple Pilots frontman reported to Spinner recently that the band has nearly completed the recording of its upcoming sixth studio album. There will probably be 11 songs on the record and we have nine completed already. Then you have to have B sides for Japan, the U.K. and the rest of Europe, so well probably record 14 songs total, Weiland said. The album will be the first from the grunge band since 2001's "Shangri-La Dee Da".
