Stone Temple Pilots, according to a report on their official website, have postponed the remaining dates on their US tour to head into the studio and work on their first album since 2001. The album is expected to hit stores early next spring, though a dispute between the band and Atlantic Records over whether or not the band's contract with the label may delay the release. The band plans to launch an extensive tour afterwards to support the new album.
