The legendary bay area thrash band Slayer has postponed their tour of Europe that was scheduled to begin on Wednesday. The cause of the postponement is a back injury sustained by frontman Tom Araya that requires treatment from specialists. The band had already announced the postponement of their Canadian Carnage tour with Megadeth.
"Right now, our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health," said the band's manager Rick Sales.
The European tour will now kick of in March, 2010 after the co-headline tour, which will be scheduled for earlier in the year.
