The gloved one's funeral cost a reportedly one million dollars, according to newly released documents.
Records show that payment requests were filed with Michael's estate administrators demanding that payment be made before the burial, otherwise the funeral would not take place. Lawyers stated that by paying, Katherine Jackson would be spared "public embarrassment and added grief, along with the daunting task of having to make new arrangements."
All payments were cleared, including a reimbursement payment to sister Janet Jackson for $49,000, who covered an initial cost. Funeral and cemetery charges were $855,730, plus several other charges, including a $35,000 for burial garments.
