Melissa Etheridge has a new album, "Fearless Love", coming out in March. She says that she is finished writing pop songs to try to get airplay and has gone back to her hard-rocking roots. She conveyed that message to producer John Shanks when they went into the studio. "I told him that I wanted to make a record that's a hundred miles an hour all the time - unabashedly drawing from my all of my influences," she says. "What we've done rocks harder than I've rocked in years. There's a couple of ballads on it, but the majority of it is just really slamming." Though the album won't hit stores until March, the self-titled debut single will be released in January.
