Guitar legends Eric Clapton (Cream, Yardbirds), and Jeff Beck (Yardbirds) performed together at a couple of shows in Japan back in February. Yesterday, it was announced the pair will perform together again at a February 13th, 2010 performance at London's O2 Arena, fueling speculation that they will possibly launch a joint tour in the US.
Eric Clapton is the only musician in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, receiving the nod for his work as a solo artist, and as a member of both the Yardbirds and Cream. Beck, of course, replaced Clapton when he left the Yardbirds.
