An agreement has been reached between guitar wizard Joe Satriani and Coldplay and Satriani has dropped his copyright infringement suit against the band. The details of the settlement are being kept under wraps, but Coldplay will not be required to admit to any wrongdoing. Satriani filed the suit last December, claiming that Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" contained significant parts of his 2004 song, "If I could Fly". Interestingly, folk singer Yusef Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) later filed a suit alledging Coldplay had stolen the song from him. The suit was dropped shortly after it was filed.
