Janet Jackson will open this year's edition of the MTV Video Music Awards with a tribute to her late brother Michael, who passed away in June. The Jacksons have a long history with the award show, having won many awards between them.
This year's VMAs will be hosted by Russel Brand, and scheduled to perform are Jay-Z, Lady GaGa, Green Day, Beyonce, Pink, Taylor Swift, and Muse. Katy Perry and Nelly Furtado are among the list of presenters. The ceremony will be held Sunday, September 13th at 9PM EST and will be aired live on MTV.
