The Cranberries are reuniting for a tour of North America and Europe after a seven year break. The band's singer Dolores O'Riordan got together with a few band members back in January for a Dublin performance; it was the first time Cranberries members played together since they broke up in 2003. According to the band's websire, the band from Limerick "never officially broken up, the band instead has been on hiatus, and being in the same room and playing music together for the first time made them realize how much they had missed each other." The tour is tentatively scheduled to begin in North America late this year and continue into 2010 with the European leg.
