According to a report from their publicist, Aerosmith has canceled the remaining dates on its summer tour due to the band's frontman Steven Tyler recovering from injuries sustained when he fell off a stage Aug. 5th in South Dakota.
The 61 year old Tyler suffered a broken shoulder and required 20 stitches in his head, and doctors have recommended Tyler to take ample time to recover before going back out on tour.
"Words can't express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour," guitarist Joe Perry said in a statement. He also said that the band hopes "we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible."
Fans with tickets to any of the shows will be able to get a full refund at the location they purchased the tickets.
