Steven Tyler reportedly broke his shoulder when he fell from the stage last Wednesday at a show in South Dakota. Tyler also had to have stitches in his back and head. The band's world tour has been postponed indefinitely while Tyler recovers from his injuries. There is no word yet on when the tour will resume. This is the fourth bump in the road for the tour.
Before the tour began, guitarist Brad Whitford injured his head getting out of his Ferrari, causing him to miss the first few shows. Then bass player Tom Hamilton had to leave the tour to undergo what was described by a spokesman as noninvasive surgery, he has not yet made his return. The band was then forced to postpone seven shows last month when Tyler hurt his leg.
Tyler, who is 61, stepped backward off of a catwalk during a performance of "Love In an Elevator". The concert had to be stopped and Tyler was airlifted to the nearest hospital.
glad Tyler is ok, but no doubt these guys are getting old. I think one of them also just recovered from cancer. Makes one marvel at the fact that the Rolling Stones are still doing it without incident.
