According to a report by Tracy Breton of the Providence Journal, payouts for the victims of the fire at a Great White show in the Station nightclub will not be recieving payments anytime soon. The fire occurred Feb. 20, 2003 in West Warrick, Rhode Island and more than 300 were injured. The legal proceedings spawned by the fire have been unprecedented in Rhode Island in terms of the numbers of plaintiffs, defendants and lawyer hours that have been spent on behalf of both the plaintiffs and defendants in working out settlement agreements. The sixty five defendants in the class action suit have agreed to a total of $176 million for the plaintiffs.
