Hi Nigel How you been?, I would like to know a little more of how you been doing when the song "Girls, Girls, Girls" came to your mind and if the Motley Crue song has the same lyrics or has the same sound.
"When Tommy was first dating Heather, he brought a little recording rig up to her house,where I lived with her sister. I remember drinking a lot of coronas with Tommy,and working on something called "Girls Girls Girls". I didnt give it another thought until Motley put out "Girls etc". Although I was a little pissed, I didnt remember exactly what happened that night! Many years later when I was packing to leave Texas, I was going through my stuff and I found some old songs. One of them was called "GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS" dated 1979! Believe it or not, I did not cross reference the lyrics, and I dont remember the music. I was just pissed, because.....well, just because. Like I can prove that he stole the idea! Or afford to fight his attorneys! If he wasnt even going to give me a polite mention, do you think he is going to want to give up an actual credit? Some dogs you just let sleep, and that goes both ways. I'm sure he has another story. He has to have, doesnt he. But if you believe that it was at best a coincidence, you may see pigs in the sky! As I mention to Rik Fox, I grew up in the 80's and I purchased several records, magazines, watching MTV, what I'm trying say is that as a fan I always get the finished goods from the bands that I like it to hear and watch perform live in a concert without even know about the origins of ther songs, reading only what they have to speak hiding the truth.
But now at these times, thanks to the internet, sites like Full in Bloom Music, myspace (looks like you are starting yours) you and several artist can now speak (maybe once again) to tell the truth, the reality of some songs, some bandmates or "friends" that took the credit of the job of the original authors.
I hope that you put more memorabilia in you MySpace site, take a picture of the sheet where you wrote the Girls song and the more things that you can display there.
Also, I want to congratulate you for your new album "In the absence of God", keep up the good music.

I honestly dont remember which songs he was responsible for in the London set as a writer.And no...I did not rate him as a good bass player.Sorry.If you like Nikki,please dont take my interview as a motivation not to.A lot of people think that their opinion should be used to influence others.I do not.I dont like strawberry ice cream....please stop eating it all of you and send nasty letters to the manufacturer!!??But I will not lie.I'm picking up a lot of flack for my interview,especially from Mott fans,as somehow the one time after 30 years I tell my side of the story is the wrong thing to do.This has caused me to rethink the release of the new album. It wont be.
