Rapper DMX was sentenced to probation Monday for throwing a food tray at a detention officer while incarcerated in a Phoenix jail. The judge also ordered the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, to attend counseling. DMX pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on May 22, eight days after being released following a 90 day sentence for drug, theft, and animal cruelty charges. He was arrested last May when his home was raided by police who found dog carcasses, malnourished pit bulls, and drugs.
