No Doubt, after a five-year hiatus, is currently on tour with Paramore; though without a new album to promote. In an interview with Billboard.com recently, the band's singer Gwen Stefani discussed how the tour came about. "Honestly, it's procrastination," she said. "My plan was to get pregnant and write a record, but instead of writing, I just ate all the time. Writing is always really hard for me -- I hate it and hate it and then I do it, and I'm happy it's done. I was blocked and I needed to get inspired, and I thought playing live would get the creative juices flowing again." Despite the band's extended break, they have been keeping busy. Stefani has had two sons during that span, released 2 solo albums: "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." which has sold over 4 million copies, and "The Sweet Escape". The band's bassist, Tony Kanal has been writing songs with such artists as Pink. Guitarist Tom Dumont has produced two albums and wrote the music for a documentary. Drummer Adrian Young has been doing session work. Now the band reunites for a tour that started Saturday in Las Vegas and will conclude August 8 in Chula Vista, CA.
