The Houston Rockets surprised us all again on Thursday by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 95 - 80 in Houston to force a game 7. The Rockets had responded to news they would be without All-star center Yao Ming for the remainder of the playoffs by beating the Lakers 99 - 87 on Sunday. Then the team lost in a blowout in LA on Tuesday 118 - 78. Home was good for the Rockets once again Tuesday as they jumped out of the gate and led 21 - 3 at one point in the first quarter, leading 27 - 15 at the end of the quarter. The team led the entire game, though LA was able to get within 2 at one point in the fourth quarter. Point guard Aaron Brooks led Houston with 26 points and Luis Scola added 24. Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 32 on 11 of 27 shooting. Game 7 will be played Sunday at #:30PM EST in the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
