Rock The Bayou has added pop metal legend Lita Ford, lead guitarist and international pop metal legend, to an already impressive lineup. Also announced is the addition of seminal 80’s hard rockers L.A. Guns, Jackyl, Bang Tango and Faster Pussycat. Ford, the former lead guitarist of the Runaways – acknowledged as the first successful all-girl rock band – garnered hits in several countries during her noteworthy career. Rock The Bayou will be only her second performance in 15 years!
Glam metal heroes L.A. Guns gained fame on the Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip during the early 1980s influencing a host of bands and eventually forming the “Guns” half of Guns N’ Roses, a band featuring Axl Rose and Tracii Guns. Jackyl developed a distinctive blend of metal and Southern rock. Faster Pussycat also hails Los Angeles with a 1989 album “Wake Me When It’s Over,” which sold more than 500,000 copies and fostered a large cult following. Bang Tango fuses funk, hard rock and glam metal, reaping MTV success with its single “Someone Like You,” from their album Psycho Café.
