EMI & the BBC have just agreed on a five year exclusive deal that allows each company to use the others material. The BBC currently has over 400,000 hours of music footage that includes live performances and radio sessions. EMI will now have access to this incredible catalog and make them available via cd releases, music downloads and DVD's. One of the BBC personal highlights is a recording of Pink Floyd's "Piper at the Gates of Dawn", which was done in 1967.
EMI will return the favor by allowing the BBC to delve into their catalog, to create new programs.
