Live Footage of Jack Russell's Great White Surfaces Online

Some quality footage surfaced online Wednesday of the August 2nd performance of Jack Russel's Great White, filmed at the Fubar in St. Louis.  Check out Russell and crew jamming classics like"Lady Red Light," "Face the Day," and a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" in the clips below.  Russell was pleased last month to welcome into the fold bassist Tony Montana, a.k.a. Tony Cardenas, who was a member of Great White from 1987 to 1992.  In other news, Russell and his former Great White bandmates have reportedly reached a settlement in their bitter fight over the use of the Great White name.

The legal battle over the Great White name began last March when Russelll filed a lawsuit against guitarist Mark Kendall, drummer Audie Desbrow, guitarist Michael Lardie and the band's management company, Bigg Time Entertainment.  In the suit, Russell claimed that his former bandmates jumped at the opportunity when he became ill with a perforated bowel, using the name that he helped establish and refusing to let him rejoin the band when he recovered.  Kendall, Lardie and Desbrow countersued, claiming that Russell missed dozens of performances before falling ill and damaged the band's reputation with subpar performances.

According to court records, Russell and the current Great White lineup got together to settle their dispute last week in front of US Magistrate Judge Carla Woehrle, reaching an agreement after three days of mediation.  While the entire agreement has not been made public, lawyers on both sides confirmed that Kendall, Audie and Desbrow will continue to perform as Great White while Russell will continue on with his band, performing under the name Jack Russell's Great White.

In an interview with Rockin Metal Revival earlier this year, Russell was asked if he might ever reunite with Kendall and Co., whom he spent over 25 years building the Great White brand with.  "NO way!,"  Russell replied.  "Absolutely not.  Not over my dead body. Too many things have been said, and too many lies, and just too much hurt, man. I've had the knife stuck in way too deep. I can forgive them, but I can't forget. It's like we were brothers, man, and we were there through thick and thin, and when it came down to it, no, we weren't. It was all a big façade for the public. It's sad; it really is. It was a just a really lousy finale for a once-great rock band."  Click Here to read FullInBloom's in-depth interview with Jack Russell.
