Van Halen announced Monday that they will perform will original frontman David Lee Roth for the first time since 2008 when they invade New York City's Cafe Wha? on Thursday.  The band also may have revealed a release date for their new album, although they didn't actually come out and say it.  A billboard popped up in Times Square over the weekend, when there were an estimated 1.5 million people in the area to bring in the New Year.  The billboard is rather simple, featuring Van Halen's signature logo and the date 2/7/12.  This has fans excited, as they believe it represents a release date for the record.

Back in November, Van Halen signed a deal with Interscope Records and confirmed they were working on their first album with Roth on vocals since the iconic "1984" album.  There is reportedly a world tour in the works for the band to support the new record, and while dates have yet to be revealed, the band has announced that the first batch of tickets for the trek will go on sale next Tuesday.
