Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the Eagles, the Foo Fighters and John Mayer have been confirmed as the headlining acts for next year's New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the outdoor event that will feature hundreds of Louisiana-bred artists and national acts.  Other artists scheduled to perform include My Morning Jacket, the Zac Brown Band, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, and Florence & the Machine, among others.

The New Orleans Jazz Fest will be heldat the Fair Grounds Race Course between April 27th and May 6th.  Hundreds of artists will perform on a dozen stages over the two weekends, with about 85 percent of the lineup coming from Louisiana talent.  Tickets for the festival go on sale Wednesday.
