Black Sabbath to Announce New Album?

Black Sabbath announced a press conference scheduled for Friday in which all four original members will be present, promising fans "a special announcement at the same location where the influential band made their Los Angeles debut on November 11, 41 years ago."  The event, hosted by Blag Flag frontman Henry Rollins, will take place in Los Angeles at the Whiskey A Go-Go, the legendary club where the band played it's first US concert some 41 years ago.

The band did not say exactly why they are holding the press event, but there's a good chance they will reveal details for a new album or tour dates.  Frontman Ozzy Osbourne said last month that new material was a "strong possibility," though he said that nothing had been recorded yet.  While Osbourne, guitarist Toni Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, and bassist Geezer Butler have performed together sporadically together over the last few decades, the lineup has not produced an album together since 1978's "Never Say Die."
