Eminem posted a message on Twitter yesterday, promising his followers that "Some big news is coming. Soon." The Tweet has prompted many to assume that the rapper is close to releasing his much anticipated "Relapse 2" album. The project was originally slated for a 2009 release, but was postponed after the early studio sessions caused Eminem to take a different direction.

 

"I got back in with [Dr.] Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch," Eminem explained at the time. "The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on 'Relapse 2,' but I still want the other stuff to be heard."

Eminem consequently released "Relapse: Refill" last December, which was basically a reissue of his comeback album with bonus material. Between the original release and the reissue, the title has sold close to 2 million copies.
