The black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys have been named as the featured acts for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Kick-off Celebration Concert. Other acts who will be performing include John Legend, Columbian stars Shakira and Juanes, and several other South American and African music stars. The show will be held June 10th at the recently-renovated Orlando Stadium in the Johnnesburg township of Soweto, one day before the first game of the 2010 World Cup. The concert will mark the first time an event of this nature is held by FIFA to mark the beginning of the World Cup. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
