ASCAP filed a lawsuit yesterday against a New York City pub named Connolly's, alleging the bar's management violated Springsteen's copyrights by allowing an unidentified band to perform two of The Boss' songs for profit. Somebody forgot to ask Bruce, though. Springsteen's representatives this morning asked that his name be removed from the suit. Representatives of ASCAP and the bar have declined to comment.
